Staircase Chandeliers Buying Guide
A stairwell is the one place a tall fitting genuinely fits, because you see it from several floors at once.
Getting it right
- Keep at least 2.1 metres of clearance above the highest tread anyone walks on.
- Hang it so the lowest point is visible from the floor below — that is the view most people get.
- Think about how you will change the bulb before you buy. If you cannot reach it safely, choose an integrated LED.
Before you order
- Check the dimensions. Every Laruya product page lists them, so you can measure the space first.
- Check the power supply. Some fittings are hardwired and need a qualified electrician; others simply plug in.
- Pick your colour temperature. Warm white around 3000K for a relaxed room, cool white around 6000K where you need to see clearly.
