Runs entirely off its own solar panel, so there is no cable to bury and no circuit to extend. Charges through the day and comes on at dusk; brightness is set from the remote rather than left on full all night.

Why customers choose this
- Sits low on paving or decking and washes light sideways, so a terrace edge is marked without a bollard in the way.
- Solar with remote dimming - no cable run, no trench, and you still control the brightness.
- Three diameters that step up a terrace, from a discreet Ø18 cm to a Ø38 cm that doubles as a feature.
How it works
The lamp is self-contained: a solar panel set into the top face charges an internal battery through the day, and the light comes on by itself at dusk. There is no cable, no transformer and no trench, so it can sit on a terrace, a lawn edge or a flat roof where running power would be impractical. Brightness is set from the supplied remote rather than left on full, which is what makes a charge last the evening.
Installation
- No assembly. It arrives as one piece. Stand it on any firm, level surface, or fix it down through the base if it is somewhere exposed.
- No wiring and no electrician. Solar powered and fully wire-free.
- Position matters more than anything. The panel needs open sky for most of the day; under a tree or a deep overhang it charges poorly and runs short.
- Remote included, battery is not. It takes a single CR2025 coin cell.
- Run time varies with the season. A long bright summer day gives a full evening; in midwinter, or after several dull days, expect noticeably less. We would rather say that than quote a figure that only holds in July.
- Leave it out all year. IP65 stainless steel with an anti-rust finish, and the LED strip is replaceable.

The light fitting, plus a mounting plate or bracket where the design needs one, and screws and wall plugs suitable for plasterboard and masonry.
Glass and ceramic shades travel packed separately. Bulbs and remote controls are only included where the product description says so.
That depends on the type, and the product description above says which one you have. A light that ends in a plug needs no installation at all. A hardwired fitting connects straight to your mains, and for those we recommend a qualified electrician.
Step-by-step guidance for both, including the UK wiring colours and IP ratings for outdoor lights, is in our installation manual.
