Wall Lights Buying Guide
Wall lights soften a room that only has a ceiling fitting. They also solve the corners a central light cannot reach.
Where they work
- Beside a bed, at roughly shoulder height when seated, so you can read without glare.
- Along a hallway, spaced evenly, to stop the corridor reading as a tunnel.
- Up-and-down fittings wash a wall from both directions and make a plain surface look intentional.
Before you order
- Check the dimensions. Every Laruya product page lists them, so you can measure the space first.
- Check the power supply. Some fittings are hardwired and need a qualified electrician; others simply plug in.
- Pick your colour temperature. Warm white around 3000K for a relaxed room, cool white around 6000K where you need to see clearly.
